TWIN '79 TRANS
AMS by

this is an excerpt from the articles

These are our twin unrestored 1979 10th Anniversary Trans Ams. I bought this car
(foreground) 4 years ago from the original owner. I felt it was a must to match
my other 10th anniversary (right in picture) also a 400 4-speed with 33,000
miles. (2 of only 1817 built). The car was ordered and bought in New York. The
original owner had every piece of paperwork that could possibly by related to
the car. I found the build sheet behind the rear seat after the purchase. This
car came complete with order forms, down payment receipts, delivery sheets and
window stickers. Also delivered with the car was a rare liquor decanter in the
form of a 10th anniversary T/A. This
car had (and still does have) the original Uniroyal tires, date coded spark plug
wires, shocks and exhaust. The original mileage was 13,887 at time of purchase
(now 15,675). This car was entered at the Pontiac Nationals in the survivor
class in Sturbridge, Mass. To my surprise it won a gold medal with a point score
of 392 points from the perfect car score of 400 points. I drive this car to many
shows and cruises in my area. No matter where I go this car attracts a lot of
attention, especially when my wife drives up with the second car.
