Though delayed by two weeks due to threatening weather on the original event date, the 2016 NJ Trans Am/All Pontiac Run went off on schedule on its ‘Rain Date.’

There were 13 participants taking part in the Run, and thankfully none of the participants experienced any difficulties with their vehicles, that prevented them from completing the trip from the McDonalds in Edison New Jersey, to Main St in Flemington New Jersey.

Once settled in on Main St, the participants were given some time to look around, and at 6:00 P.M., the ‘Giveaway Items’ (provided courtesy of the National Firebird Trans Am Club), were given out, and the Best Firebird/Trans Am, and Best Pontiac Trophies awarded. Best Firebird went to Bill Vantuono, owner of a1969 Firebird Convertible (see event photos), and Best Pontiac went to Scott Kievning, owner of a 1998 Pontiac GTP.

After the awards were handed out the participants hung out for at least another 2 hours, and then slowly began heading home, with yours truly (Ben Deutschman), leaving at 8:30 P.M.

A GREAT time was had by all, and we all look forward to the 2017 Run.

NOTE: We are now asking for suggestions for a 2017 destination for the NJ 2017 Trans Am - All Pontiac Run, . Please keep in mind that any suggested destination must be able to accommodate 25-40 vehicles, guarantee parking together, be available for a rain date, preferably have food available, and be open on Saturday. It is preferable that the destination be a Cruise Night/Car Show, but that is not a necessary prerequisite.
