Title: Edelbrock intake made to look stock.

I want my 79 to look more stock so I took the intake off and tried to make it look stock.  what do you think? I'll have it back on buy the weekend. with some more pics.

thanks guys. I milled off the  Edelbrock name and the flag. cut the  hole bigger and cut the other side out.  took a good epoxy and put the cylinder #'s on it. and the bumps on the back of the intake. here is a few installed pics.

Good Idea & job  It even has that earlyer years look a lot like my 1970 & 71 TAs

a few other mods to make it look more stock. 


I put in a charcoal canister and ran the lines.

added a wire loom , correct W72 anodized silver. and wire holders.

added a non-ac heater hose holder bracket.  (getting a new hose and correct hose clamps)

painted the words on the overflow cap, and painted the clamps on the drain tube.

still more to do like the hose and clamps,   a black distributor cap.  the (fan) sticker for the shroud. a 400 shroud.
a cover for the battery.
