Title: T-Top Installation
Post by: february2019 on February 09, 2019, 01:42:54 PM
How hard is it to convert a hardtop to ttops? Iím thinking of potentially doing it to mine with the smaller ttops (Hurst? Or Fischer?). Any advice from anyone who has done it?

Its not that hard. I did a 2nd gen and a 3rd gen with no issues. If you do correctly and use good seals and install right there is no issues. But it is a lot of work.

Itís your car, do what you want to do. Now the real question is what T-Tops will fit that generation properly. You will have to research and compare roof profiles so it doesnít look off or poorly done. 2nd gen and 3rd gen wonít work on a 1st gen car. Do you research and make sure you put in weld in frame connectors to strengthen the chassis.
