Sorry for the confusion, neither of those is mine, I was just giving examples of the two color choices that I am debating about painting my bird.  The one that is mine is the pic I posted:

I would keep the color you have.  I think yours is a 1 year color

my favorite Trans Ams, Firebirds and IROCS are black-gold or black
but if your paint is in a good shape than why change
that golden Firebird 400 with chrome wheels looks awesome

I concur about the black and gold, especially for the TAs, but I don't think that color combo was around in '68.  The paint is not in good shape, with some deep scratches and so on.

Yeah, Im torn between the two colors as well.  I did a little research and both are original colors for '68.  I think I will first try to find a good paint shop that I trust with it and then decide on the color.  I want to get that done first, as then I have some replacement panels for the doors, and some new hardware (door handles, etc.) that I would like to put on.  Hoping to hit a few events this summer and ask around for a good paint shop...
