So you want to find out if your car has competitive potential  ;)
If your car is stock with the original options i.e (Engine) Check
Your Cars VIN Number found on the VIN Plate [Tag] at the lower Right Hand side (Driverís Side) of your cars windshield / and IP. Or your cars title; you should see something similar like (1G2FV21PXSL100001) The eighth digit is the engine Code.

Examples:
8 = 5.7L V8 (B2L / L98) (1987-1992)
E = 5.0L V8 (LO3) (1988-1992) TBI
S = 3.4L V6 (L32)  (1993-1995)
K = 3.8L V6 (L36)
P = 5.7L V8 (LT1)

I am a NFTAC, Member and I was at one time an auto mechanic working for a local GM dealer here in my home town back in the mid-to late '80's now  I currently enjoy working on my own Pontiac's especially on my '85 T/A // making maintenance repairs, repairs, modifications and performance modifications I also enjoy meeting and /or talking to other Firebird & T/A owners an get into technical debates;hopefully just as long as the debate's doesn't go into a to heated argument.
