Ignition Starting

I need some advice. My car will not start through the ignition. I have the ignition key in running position. Then I have to start it with a screwdriver. Thank you for the info. I have an '80 pace car.

Pretty sure if it still clicks when you turn the ignition switch it's a bad solenoid. Rebuilt starter motors are still inexpensive compared to other repairs.
