High Idle
« on: November 02, 2020, 10:31:22 PM »
Anyone else have this problem? On my 1990 Trans Am sometimes when I start it, it will idle high around 1200 with the check engine light on. Then once I turn off the car and turn it back on it idles fine and no light. All new intake, no vacuum leaks, all new fuel system. Any ideas?

Sensors can mask this. Start simple. Check hoses snorkels etc. Spray around manifold for leaks. EGR, vapor levels, etc Lots of places to check. O2 sensor etc. You can chase these for a while.
