Do we know of any documented 1970 Trans Ams that were ordered without the shaker hood? I have seen stories of some for 1969. My reason for asking is that my car does not  have one and I am thinking of pulling the seats to see if I can find the build sheets.
My car being a numbers matching engine 4-speed Trans Am.  I know that last owner had it for over 20 years. So I just can't see why they would have removed the hood and fender flares. I guess I can look inside the fenders to see if there are any filled holes in them.

I have seen a few PHS slips come back with custom options that would have been done at the factory, but never a shaker delete. Considering it's had body work done and not knowing what happened before the previous owner had it, it's all speculation as to the motive. It is possible someone popped a VIN and body tag on a Firebird body, but doubtful.

And the PHS wasn't a waste but rather further validation that the VIN matches the options found on the car, eluding to it being a real '70 TA 4 speed car.

Enjoy it!
