I am looking at possibly purchasing an ‘87 GTA that needs engine rebuild. I would prefer it to have WS6 Handling package. I have read good things about rear-disc brakes.
Are rear disc brakes a sign that it is so equipped? If not, are there any clues without having a VIN? Thanks for your information!

Not all GTA’s have rear disc brakes. I have seen an ‘87 GTA L98 cars with rear drums, and my ‘91 L98 GTA had drums when I got it. It was a delete option of some sort where you could downgrade to drums and save some cash
