91 Firebird won't start
« on: June 01, 2007, 06:47:03 PM »
I have a 1991 Firebird that has been sitting for a while with the battery disconnected.  It has a VIper 300 car alarm.  I put a new battery in it and it will crank but won't start.  I am trying to determine if it is the car alarm not working right or if there is something else wrong with the car.  The car alarm will arm itself, the lights flash but there are no chirps.  If I hold the alarm button down, the alarm will flash the lights, but the audible part of the alarm is not there.  I have put the alarm into valet mode and the car still won't start.  Any recomendations?
