78 Trans Am with a bad 1969 400 engine ? options ?
« on: September 27, 2007, 06:27:56 PM »
I just purchased a 78 Trans Am.  It is in very good condition, but the engine has a bad knock around cylinder number 8.  The previous owner stated that the car has a 1968 400 cc motor and it was rebuilt about 6000 miles ago.  It has been at the drag stripe and run a mile around 13 sec.  I am just looking to make it a solid street machine and I am looking for options?  Any thoughts would be welcome.  I plan to use this thread to document my progress in getting the engine up and running again.
